On behalf of the Organising Committee, I have the pleasure of inviting you to the 38th Congress of the Nordic Federation of Societies of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Bergen, Norway, 16–19 June 2012. Our meeting will take place in Grieghallen in the center of Bergen. Grieghallen is a highly professional conference center and has hosted many great national and international events. |

The congress hotels are located nearby
in the city center and thus within
easy walking
distance from the congress
venue. They are also close to the
UNESCO world heritage listed old town
center with its Hanseatic architecture
and wharf.
As congresses tend to be more specialized to discrete subjects within obstetrics and gynecology, the mission of the Nordic congresses remain as valuable as ever: the scientific program will provide a unique opportunity to learn about the latest progress in every corner of our field. The social program will demonstrate the Bergen hospitality at its best and even beyond; and will also take place within the city center. The Nordic congresses in our field are the preeminent meeting place for all colleagues. excellent statistics for perinatal outcome is combined with a cesarean section rate around 10% at the hosting institution.
